Oatmeal is so versatile, I tried this simple recipe for which you only need water, a bit salt and oatmeal. You can eat these pure oatmeal pancakes with apple sauce and you do not need to have any additonal sugar!
But how do you make pure oatmeal pancakes? It can’t get any simpler then this: 1,5 cup with 4 cups of water and 1 teaspoon salt let this cook. Then divide this mixture in a large casserole dish so that it’s easy to slice the pieces (once it is cooled down). Sprinkle some cinnamon powder on top.
Let the mixture cool down over night and the next day cut it up and bake some in a frying pan with some butter.
Save the left over oatmeal pieces in the fridge and have your own budget breakfast for the upcoming week. You could use these in your smoothies or with some milk (cut it up in little cubes).
